Installing the solid state drive mounting sleeve

Use this information to install the solid state drive (SSD) mounting sleeve.

Before you begin

Before you install the SSD mounting sleeve, read Safety and Installation guidelines.

About this task

The SSD mounting sleeve is available in the optional Flex System flash kit.

Procedure

To install the solid state drive (SSD) mounting sleeve, complete the following steps.

SSD cage installation

  1. If necessary, remove the SSD bezel.
  2. Slide the SSD mounting sleeve in the compute node until the release latch snaps to secure the sleeve.
  3. Replace the SSDs in the SSD mounting sleeve (see Installing a solid state drive).
  4. Replace the SSD bezel.
