When using the Lenovo XClarity Administrator

Follow these steps to enable a chassis to support NIST 800-131A strict mode from the Lenovo XClarity Administrator.

There are two options for enabling a chassis to support NIST 800-131A strict mode from the Lenovo XClarity Administrator:
  • Ensure TLS 1.2 is enabled in your browser. Configure the CMM to use NIST 800-131A mode before you manage the chassis. Configure the Lenovo XClarity Administrator to use NIST 800-131a mode either before or after managing the chassis.
  • Manage the chassis while the Lenovo XClarity Administrator is still in a default configuration and change the Lenovo XClarity Administrator configuration to NIST 800-131A afterward. The current certificates will become untrusted, and you can resolve untrusted certificates for each chassis from the Lenovo XClarity Administrator.
Note: You can implement this option entirely from the Lenovo XClarity Administrator. The setting change has to be made only once instead of being made once per device.
