Use the information in this section to troubleshoot the
compute node when you cannot communicate with the I/O module.
Complete the following steps until the problem is solved:
- Make sure that all ports in the connection path are enabled and
that you can ping the I/O module. If you are unable to ping the I/O
module, see Cannot ping the I/O module.
- Make sure that the protocols that you are using are enabled.
Note: By default, only secure protocols are enabled, for example, SSH and
HTTPS.
- Make sure that you can log into the I/O module. If you are unable
to log into the I/O module, see Cannot log in to the I/O module.
- Use a serial cable to connect to the I/O module to further isolate
the problem. You can also link to the I/O module through an external
Ethernet port.
