Use this information to remove the hard disk
drive cage.
Before you begin
Before you remove
the hard disk drive cage, complete the following
steps:
- Read Safety and Installation guidelines.
- If the compute
node is installed in a chassis, remove it (see Removing a compute node from a chassis for instructions).
- Carefully lay the compute node on a flat, static-protective surface,
orienting the compute node with the bezel pointing toward you.
Procedure
To remove the hard disk drive cage, complete the following
steps.

Remove the cover (see Removing the compute node cover).

Remove the hot-swap hard disk drives and hard disk drive
bay fillers.

Remove the hard disk drive backplane (see Removing the hard disk drive backplane).

Using a T8 Torx screwdriver, remove the four
screws from the cage and rotate the cage from under the bezel; then,
remove the cage from the compute node at an angle.

for shipping that are supplied to you.
