Use these instructions to start the LSI Logic Configuration
Utility.
You can use the LSI Logic Configuration Utility to perform
the following tasks:
- Set the device boot order
- Add or remove devices from the boot list
- Manage the RAID configuration
Note: The hard disk drive in the RAID configuration must
use the same type of interface and must have identical capacity and
speed.
To start the LSI Logic Configuration
Utility program, complete the following steps:
- Connect a keyboard, monitor, and mouse to the console breakout cable and
connect the console breakout cable to
the compute node.
Attention: Use only the console breakout cable that
comes with the compute node. Attempting to connect other console breakout cable types
might damage the console breakout cable and
the compute node.
- Turn on the compute node (see Turning on the compute node).
- When the prompt Press <F1> Setup is
displayed, press F1. If you have set an administrator password, you
must type the administrator password to access the full Setup utility
menu. If you do not type the administrator password, a limited Setup
utility menu is available.
- From the Setup utility main menu, select System Settings;
then select Storage.
- Use the arrow keys to select the controller from the list
of adapters; then, press Enter.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to change the settings
of the selected items; then, press Enter. If you select SAS Topology or Advanced
Adapter Properties, additional screens are displayed.
