Use this information to save a CMM configuration.
Attention:
- Please make sure local user account passwords are known before unmanaging
from LXCA or FSM.
- Unmanage from LXCA or FSM before backing up the configuration.
- You should save the CMM configuration.
Saving the configuration allows you to restore the saved settings
if a CMM is
replaced or if configuration information is corrupted or lost. You
must save the CMM configuration
before replacing a CMM or
restoring a CMM to
the manufacturing default configuration, if you intend to restore
the configuration.
- If you are managing you chassis using an external management device,
record the management device password in use at the time of the backup:
this password will be required to restore the backup.
You can save the CMM configuration
in two ways:
- In the CMM web
interface, configurations are applied from the Manage Configuration
page (select Configuration from the Mgt Module Management menu).
See Saving
a CMM configuration for more information. All fields and options
are fully described in the CMM web interface online help.
- In the CMM CLI,
use the write command (see write command for information about command
use).
