The CMM event
log contains a list of all events that are received from all devices
in the Flex System Enterprise
Chassis.
These events are also sent by the CMM to
the optional Flex System Manager hardware,
if installed.
See the Flex System Enterprise
Chassis CMM event
log for a complete list of all non-device specific
events and recommended actions, sorted by event ID. Device specific
event information is in the documentation for the device.
You can view CMM events
through the CMM web
interface or the CMM CLI.
These events are also sent by the CMM to
the optional Flex System Manager hardware, if one is installed.
- For the CMM web
interface, CMM events
are viewed on the Event Log page (select Event Log from the Events menu).
If event IDs are not shown in the Event Log page, you can enable them
to display (from the Event Log page, click Filter Events and
select the Event ID check box under Visible columns).
All fields and options in the Event Log page are fully described in
the CMM web
interface online help.
- For the CMM CLI,
events that include the event ID are viewed using the displaylog
-e command (see displaylog command for complete information
about command use).
Note: When using the syslog command to send CMM system
event logs over a network, the data is sent unencrypted and can be
read by any user that is connected to the network.
