Managing and configuring storage network devices
Use the information in this section to manage and configure Fibre Channel and Fibre Channel over Ethernet storage network devices with IBM® Flex System Manager management software in a Flex System environment.
This documentation is specific to using Fibre Channel (FC) and Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) network devices with storage systems IBM Flex System Manager management software in a Flex System environment.
Important: Consider using static IP addresses for the Flex System V7000 storage
nodes and the Fibre Channel I/O modules in the chassis (outside the
range of 192.168.70.121 - 192.168.70.124). If you use a DHCP server,
it is possible that a situation can occur where a storage node and
a Fibre Channel I/O module in the same chassis default to the same
IP address if the DHCP server is unreachable for some reason. If
that situation occurs, resolve the issue by setting a static IP address
for either the storage node or the Fibre Channel I/O module that is
outside the range of 192.168.70.121 - 192.168.70.124.
