Update compliance issue remains unresolved after installing 5.20.x updates on Linux systems

In inventory, the version property of the 5.20.x does not get refreshed properly after an update, which means that the compliance issue remains unresolved.

Problem

After installing an 5.20.x update on a Linux system, the version property does not get updated properly. The update installation completes successfully, but the version information does not get updated correctly, which causes the update manager compliance policy to report that the update still needs to be applied.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:
  1. Restart 5.20.x on the target system.
  2. Collect inventory for the target system.
  3. If the problem persists:
    1. Remove the target system from the IBM® Flex System Manager.
    2. Discover the target system again.
    3. Collect inventory for the target system.
