Firmware requirements - Flex System x222 Compute Node

The Flex System x222 Compute Node requires the following Flex System firmware.

To support the Flex System x222 Compute Node, the Flex System CMM firmware must be updated to a level released after September 1, 2013, along with all other Flex System firmware in the latest release package.

The CMM firmware release date can be checked using the CMM update -a command or the CMM web interface.

For more information about the CMM update -a command, see "Flex System Chassis Management Module: Command-Line Interface Reference Guide".
From the CMM web interface, select Firmware from the Mgt Module Management menu. For more information, see "Flex System Chassis Management Module: User's Guide". All fields and options are described in the CMM web interface online help.

To find the latest levels of Flex System firmware, including CMM firmware, complete the following steps:

Go to https://www-304.ibm.com/software/brandcatalog/puresystems/centre/.
Click the System Updates tab.
Click your type of PureSystem to view its available firmware update packages.
Click an update tab to display the firmware components, versions, and dates for each level of firmware package update.

You can click a firmware component name to download it for installation (you might need to register to access this content).

Note: Flex System firmware is released as a package. If you need to update any Flex System firmware, including the CMM firmware, you should update all firmware components in the package.
